Louisa May Alcott
Alcott wrote many books besides Little Women. What most of us today know as "Little Women" was originally published in two volumes. The first was Little Women followed by Good Wives. She went on to write Little Men and Jo's Boys.
I highly recommend you try to get your hands on these other titles by Alcott.

She also published a collection of short stories called Aunt Jo's Scrapbag. A friend of mine had a copy handed down from her grandmother. It is the only copy I have ever seen. They are not the sort of stories that would get published today but I sure enjoyed them.
